1960 - With Gert Froebe and Wolfgang Preiss. Director Fritz Lang's last film completes the series of Mabuse films he began in 1922. A German police detective is beset with a series of crimes around the Hotel Luxor. In English language.

The Threepenny Opera (1962)
1962, ca. 124 min. - A lively adaptation of the famous Brecht/Weil musical. This popular version stars Curt Juergens, Gert Froebe, Hildegard Knef and believe it or not, Sammy Davis, Jr. This video you surely want to own! In English language.

Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism
1967, ca. 81 min. - Christopher Lee, Karin Dor, Lex Barker. Sadistic count needs the blood of 13 virgins to give him eternal life. Adult. In English language.

Tower of Screaming Virgins
1968, 89 min. - A exploitation adventure very loosely adapted from a novel by Alexandre Dumas. Sex and swordplay are the stars of this swashbuckling adventure that, in its livelier moments, gloriously lives up to its trash-camp title. Said title refers to a notorious tower of sin, supposedly ruled by a mysterious, wicked witch. In English language.

The Trapp Family
105 min. With Ruth Leuwerick, Hans Holt, Josef Meinrad. - This film made for the USA, combines "The Trapp Familie" and "Die Trapp Familie in Amerika" and was the story line for "The Sound of Music." Fuer die Trapp-Familie ist das "Land der unbegrenzten Moeglichkeiten" zunaechst nicht gerade das Paradies. Das Leben, die Mentalitaet, die Sprache, alles ist anders. Die spaerlichen Habseligkeiten sind bald "verzehrt" und die erhofften Erfolge des Chores bleiben aus. Armut, Hunger und Ratlosigkeit sind die Folge. Selbst der Agent, auf dessen Anraten sie nach Amerika kamen, wirft enttaeuscht das Handtuch. Auch Baronin Maria, stets optimistisch und voll Gottvertrauen, ist am verzweifeln. Dann aber kommt die Wende: was mit klassischen Liedern nicht gelang, mit deutschen Volksliedern kann man Saele fuellen, und die "Trapp Family Singers" schaffen den Durchbruch in ganz Amerika. Vienna 1900
ca. 53 min. - Recollections of a Viennese girl in Paris. Vienna in 1900 appeared to be the most carefree place in the world. It was "La Belle Époque" and everything ran smoothly: the hackney cabs, the Spanish Riding School-even the whipped cream. The middle class took up art, theater, and music; and the waltz was king. Beneath this polished veneer, however, the seeds of unrest had been sown by iconoclasts such as Arnold Schoenberg, Gustav Mahler, Adolf Loos, Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Sigmund Freud, and Karl Kraus. These innovators challenged the values of Vienna's decadent and self-satisfied society. Vienna 1900 reveals a society lost in the pleasures of its glittering empire, but teetering on the brink of a revolution that would change the world forever. In English language.

Watch on the Rhine
1973, 79 min., b&w - Five dusty, frightened refugees cross the Mexican border into the United States one step ahead of the Gestapo. They are freedom fighter Karl Muller, his U.S. wife Sara and their three children. They are heading for the safety of Sara's Washington, D.C. childhood home... unaware that the fascist enemy they fled will soon threaten them again in America. Lillian Hellmann's Watch on the Rhine, a Broadway hit in the 1940-41 season, became even more timely and dramatic when America suddenly entered the war. The 1943 screen version reunited five of the play's original cast members, including acclaimed lead Paul Lukas. And Bette Davis, the cinema's biggest female star, was added for extra dramatic clout. The film's proud, patriotic message and brilliant performances made it a critical triumph. Lukas won the best Actor Oscar and the film earned four nominations in all (including Best Picture). It also garnered Best Film honors from the New York Film critics and the National board of Review. Bette Davis and Best Actor winner Paul Lukas defy the Nazis in "1943's Best Film". 1984, 100 min. - Dir. By Herzog. A group of wise noble Australian aborigines who must go up against a mining company set on bull dozing their sacred land in a quest for uranium. Bruce Spence (The Road Warrior) plays a sympathetic geologist for an uranium mining company who must confront the passive resistance of the aborigine tribes. In English language. 

William Tell
Switzerland, 1935, b/w, ca. 70 min. - With Conrad Veidt. An apple shot off a boy's head is only one of the dramatic scenes in this well made pageant of the freedom of a proud people. In English language.

Woman in Flames
ca. 106 min., color - Gudrun Landgrebe as Eva, who portrays a seemingly passive middle-class woman whose marital break-up takes her back to the college campus. Unfulfilled and disillusioned, Eva turns her back on literature to become a M\"model", selling more than a pretty face to establish her independence and relished dominance of men. Her new found freedom soon finds her back in a relationship with a male prostitute. Satisfying the kinky desires of others by day and melting into the fiery inferno of passion and pleasure by night, Chris (Eva's male prostitute lover) finds his ambivalent feelings turning into jealousy. He wants to stabilize their future together into a respectable middle class life, but Eva's direction is quite the opposite. The shocking conclusion will leave you stunned. In English language.

1966, ca. 85 min. - With Maria Schell, Carl Michaels, Nadja Gray. A lovely lady architect battles her handsome rival for a big contract. A sparkling romantic comedy which favorably compares with the kinds of Hollywood entertainment's pairing Doris Day with Cary Grant of Rock Hudson. Multi-talented Maria Schell stars as Beate Dehn, an architect who is at once charming and calculating, pert and unabashedly pushy. Beate is in business with her easygoing father, who is ever-flustered by her antics. Her latest scheme brings her to Trieste, where she plans to enter an architectural competition. Beate's chief rival is a company headed by a crude mogul who is being represented by his handsome son, Klaus Hartmann. Klaus is shy and down to earth. In English language.

Young Aphrodites
1966, B/W, ca. 87 min., NR, Romance - This video presents a world of primitive love and lust, erotic passions and innocent physical longing as two adolescents experience sensual awakening in a savagely nomadic world. Director Nikos Koundouros, winner of the Best Director Award at the Berlin Festival, filmed among the old ruins and landscapes of Greece and used authentic shepherds, peasants and popular dancers to recreate the mood and atmosphere of a time long ago. Both exotic and sensual, this magnificently photographed film is a poetic ode to the beginning of adulthood and the loss of innocence. In English language.
